As the month draws to an end I thought I would share a bit of this and that with you.

We kicked off the New Year with a First Day Hike at Virginia’s Newest State Park. It was a great way to spend time together as a family. The above photo is one of my sons enjoying a view of the James River.
My daughter made a star like this at a friend’s house over Christmas. It was simply beautiful. I want us to make more. Perhaps, you would like to do so, as well.

Oh, and by the way, the friend that hosted the crafting extravaganza has a marvelous Pinterest board. You can see some of the things she has her eye on for Valentine’s Day here.
A fun, fun serendipity is that one of our sons is playing rec ball this winter aaaaand my husband and the coach made the connection that they were in college together. Thirty-three years have passed since this history-making moment, but this is my son’s coach way back when.
And finally, I feel like things are finally coming together with blogging. I’ve been writing all along, but never could carve out the mental time to post and work through the technical bits. I still have a lot of fine tuning on my to-do list, but I’m enjoying writing and sharing and really, really enjoying emails from many of you. I’ve written all the posts for February and they are ready to go, so you can expect something at least once a week – probably Sunday -from me. In the meantime, what do you think? Is there something you would like for me to ponder with you? Is this blog helpful, thoughtful, inspirational or simply more clutter. The comments are open. Let me know. I’m curious. That’s it for now.
Have a wonderful day!
With joy!
Florence
