I have an affinity for mornings, Mondays, the beginning of the year, the first day of the month, birthdays, blank pages of paper, a clean kitchen and a full gas tank. I like the idea of a clean slate, a fresh start, a new chance. Thankfully all of my good intentions don’t evaporate at the day’s end. The good news is this invitation to something new keeps repeating itself in so many ways not just once a year. For now, I’m keeping my list simple:
I’m going to keep …
- more of my days open for walking,
- more of my week open for connecting, and
- more of my mind open for writing and reflecting.
I’m ready for the opportunity this new moment, this new day and this new year brings. I hope you are too. May you be blessed by the fullness of today and all the days to come.
